Klutz? Oh yes, that's me.

Yesterday morning, as I was attempting to chase my naked child down and force her to get dressed, managed to slam into her bedroom door. Piggy toe first. I fell to the floor and nearly started crying, as my husband told me to suck it up. But I think I broke my toe! It throbbed all day at work (damn dress shoes didn't help!). I skipped out on my tempo run last night because it hurt to move my foot at all. Of course, I wasn't too crushed about missing the run because the weather was crapola.

I iced the toe last night and it felt a lot better when I got up this morning. I ran an easy 3 miler this morning and although the toe definitely hurt, it wasn't unbearable and I don't think it affected my gait. No running tomorrow (but an early morning swim) and hopefully I will be relatively pain free for my 20 miler on Saturday. Too close to the marathon for toe trouble!

Happens to the best of us. At least you didn't take your frustration out on your naked child. Well, as far as we know...

:-)

it's the littlest injuries that hurt THE MOST. I hope your lil piggy is ok. :(

"not unbearable" sounds promising...wincing in pain cant touch it would have been a problem, hope that's a sign its ok!

Oh no! I almost bit my tongue when I read that! Take care of that toe and take it easy for the next couple of days. Glad it is feeling a little better.

That's so scary! I'll be thinking about you on Sunday and hoping that it stays pain free for the run. It's just got to make it through this last long run before the taper, right? You can do it!

Broken toes=ouch! No fun, rest that sucker!

Your comment about your constant flatus issues with doing a TGU cracked me up! When doing those at the HKC I squeezed SO hard and prayed no gas would come out un-expectantly while Pavel was walking around! To be honest, having IBS is a killer with kettlebells-I worry about that the most with this upcoming certification!

So sorry. Why are toes so painful?
Darn naked kids!

I have done something like that about one year ago....naked three year old lttle boy:) My toes hit the bathtub...not a pretty sight!

Hopefully it will be better soon and you will still be on track for your 20 miler. Take care!

OUCHIES! It's incredible how much it can hurt. I hope it heals up quick!! I would wear shoes to protect it for the next day or so... i.e. not dress shoes. ;)

Oh no!!! I hope it heals quickly!
My child is a nudist too. She screams if we come near her with clothes around the house. Yesterday at the park I had to keep chasing her down and putting her panties back on her after seeing flashes of bare booty under her dress :)

I hope that toe heals completely and fast. Congrats on the 5K PR! I loved the picture of your little girl and the big moose. Have a Happy Mom's Day!

Yikes! Hope the toe survived the run! Thanks for swinging by my blog. As for tri clothes, REI has some, Erik's has been getting more every year, and some of the local running stores have a few. Gear West is by far the best place to go, depending on where you live, a drive out there may be worth your while. Good luck, we'll see you at Chisago!
