Two Faced

Yesterday when I dropped Sophie off at daycare, one of the teacher's told me, "You are the only person I know who has two totally different faces. One I'm going to work face and one I'm not going anywhere face." I think what she meant to say is that I either look completely stunning (obviously) or am a sweaty post-run disaster. Which would be true.

Of course, then I got in my car, looked in the rearview mirror and saw a big clump of mascara under my eye. So "completely stunning" may be better read as "Halloween horror."

Once I wash this damn mascara off my face, I might actually get my act together and post my Twin Cities Marathon race report. At this point I'll probably wait until after my race on Saturday and make it a two-fer.

I know that on Fridays, when I don't work, I drop the kids off at daycare dressed in my sweats, and I don't care. It's my version of casual Friday, dangit!

What a weird comment! Just ignore her. Working out is better than sitting around home in PJs all day long...

That's a strange comment! Looking forward to your race report! It was a beautiful day to run a TCM race (marathon or 10-mile).

Kind of sounds like a back-handed compliment....

Race report?

I like it, actually! I love looking like a hardcore fitness girl :) I have three looks. Pretty and professional for work, laid back and plain for home and sweaty as a pig for working out :)

I'm sure both faces are absolutely stunning, although that was a pretty strange way of her to say whatever it was she was trying to say. I'm looking forward to the TC Marathon report! I hope it went well!!

Thanks for your Green Bay Marathon recommendation! I'll definitely consider it- weather should be nice (i.e. cool) and it's not too far from home:) Looking forward to your Twin Cities race report:)
