Snowy Run

I don't have any way to prove this, but I'm pretty sure I wore my running hat and coat the earliest ever last night on my five-miler. I don't think I've ever pulled out the winter gear in October before. Granted, it wasn't full on winter gear (the Under Armour extra warm tights and double layer turtle necks are still in the closet), but still. Winter, you and I didn't get along very well last year. And you're really pushing it already this year. Watch it.

at least we have a chance to ease into it a little at a time. I think last year it went from summer to winter in one night.

ugh, mother nature is a real bitch this year eh? No summer, seemingly no fall, going right to winter. :(

Yesterday morning when I went out for my run it was only 39 degrees...yikes! I put up my hood and pulled my hands up into my sleeves. I am just not ready for hat and gloves yet.

What do you wear for pants when it is really cold?? Last winter I found great winter gear, but still didn't find pants warm enough for some of the really cold days.

Agreed. I feel cheated! I'm going straight from shorts to my thermal knits. What happened to long sleeved shirts and shorts or capris????

I still think we'll have a 75 degree day before Thanksgiving.

Seriously Winter! You just step off. Heather means it!

(I hate hate hate cold weather. Rather run in the heat. I know, I am weird.)

I need your help! I'm going to post this request sooner or later on my blog, but what are your winter gear "must haves"? I've never ran through the winter before and desperately need some advice. I'm planning on holding off til the end of the month if I can (brrr!) but let me know if you have any specific brand recommendations, etc.

Tell us more about those tights. I need a new pair soon...

Not to make you feel bad, but I haven't even pulled out the capri's or long sleeve shirts yet.

I can't believe how cold it is getting everywhere so quickly this year! Where did FALL go? Did we even have one?

Snow! Oh my!

I am still hoping to wear my shorts and t-shirts a little while longer, but last night I had to put on gloves and 2 long sleeves. :(
