Snap Crackle Pop

You know what may be a sign that you need to do more yoga? Having to turn up the TV multiple times during the 30 minutes of The Firm Power Yoga just so you can hear the soothing instructions over the giant bowl of Rice Krispies cackling away on the counter. Oh wait, no cereal, just my bones.

I guess it's been a while. After a few days of inactivity (still struggling to get back into my routine!), after I put Sophie to bed tonight I knew I needed to do something. I'm in single parenting season (what others may refer to as hunting season), so I was confined to the house. And I ate a late supper, so I didn't want to bounce around too much. Yoga seemed like the perfect choice. And it was. Aside from hearing every single bone and joint in my body creak and groan, it was great to stretch and yet still get a little bit of "strength" work in.

Have a great weekend!

You are SO good, taking on a yoga DVD after dinner and bedtime. I think I would have had a date with the couch.

It's been forever since I did yoga, too! Good for you for getting something done - I'd probably have just gone to bed. Ha. Hope the weekend goes well soloing it. :)

It's funny how we all avoid what we know we should be doing because it's hard-Yoga! I too have been Yoga-free since June. Not good. Even though I incorporate some of the stretches into my daily routines, there's nothing like an actual class with others "popping" as much as you!

Hi Heather,
I have been a total slacker this week and you are making me feel super lazy! I need to be doing something...I did shovel for a few hours this morning. That was so fun...not really. My neck and back are now killing me!

I should really try Yoga one more time. Maybe I will like it this time around. The last time I did it was almost 20 years ago:)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I laughed at the reference to the rice krispies. That's how my bones feel and sound today. Good for you for choosing to do yoga after a long day! It's all about taking small steps, one at a time, to get back to the routine. Have a good and active week!

When I do yoga, I can't hear the snapping over the sobbing... I am not good at it! Glad you got a good workout in during hunting season.
