Hibernating

Excuse me while I crawl out from the hole I have been hiding out in for the last week . . . It has been ridiculously cold here. One of those weeks that makes me remember why I hate winter in Minnesota. I ran last Sunday (when it was a balmy 5 degrees) and then watched the temps steadily drop all week. Finally I thought today would be warmer (with a predicted high of 10) and planned to run this morning. And woke up to -22 degree temps. Lovely. The only thing that has kept me from rocking back and forth on the floor and crying is swimming and kettlebells. But I need a run. Hopefully tomorrow after work.

Of course, watching the Packers take the NFC Championship and having the Super Bowl to look forward to helps relieve some of the pain!

#1 reason I own a treadmill - I am a weather wimp! Even in the heat I am in my basement on the TM, we've become such good friends. Hoping you get out tomorrow!! :)

That was funny!! It sure has been nasty over there in MN this winter! It's gotten cold here too, but not as bad!
Great game yesterday-on to Dallas!!

Yay for avoiding a padded room, Heather! :)

Enjoy the game, and enjoy hopefully warmer temps and breaking out those running shoes!

I have a rule where I don't run outside if it's below zero. Any running I've been doing has been indoors. This week should be nice, so hopefully you'll get a couple runs in before the weekend.

I don't watch much football but I'm happy for you and your team! It was warmer here today but I don't know how long it's supposed to last. I hope a long time!!

Right now it is 28 degrees and it actually feels warm. Seriously, that is sad!

holy buckets it's been COLD. But as I just realized yesterday, January is almost over, and Jan. is notoriously the WORST month.

WE'RE GOING TO THE SHIP!!!!! I'm so freakin' excited. There was taslks of me and some buddies roadtripping to GB to watch the superbowl too. You should shoot me an email so I have your address (for this and Fargo marathon purposes! jerbearshares [at] gmail [dot] com

-22F should be illegal!!! I hope things are warming up to a more reasonable state of COLD.

Hi Heather,
Well being in a hole for 1 week is better than 25 days:) The weather was great today and I actually ran my six miles outside! Nice job on the kettlebells! I need to do some sort of cross training too. Take care Lady!
