Who's the Hottie?

So I was walking into the courthouse this morning and, just as I was about to open the glass door and go inside, saw a blond man walking towards me from inside. He was about my height and was really close to the door. I thought, "How nice, he's going to open the door for me." But he didn't. He just stopped and waited. As I stood there awkwardly waiting for the door to open, I realized there was no man at all. Just me. And my mannish reflection. Yep, I look like a man.

After wearing a skirt and heels all day yesterday, my feet were sore and my calves were tight. So I made a little vow to stay out of the heels until after the marathon. When searching my closet for something to wear this morning, I realized that means I will be rotating the same three pants suits for the next two weeks. And clunky Sketchers tennis shoes that can be hidden under my pants and won't get me kicked out of court for inappropriate attire. Smoking. Hot.

But at least my feet and calves will be well-rested for the race!

I know what you mean, I'm trying so hard not to wear flip flops!

OMFG HAHAHHAHAA You know, I've done that before as well. Not with the door but have seen a glimpse of myself in a mirror (not knowing it was a mirror until after the fact) and thought "Damn that chick is beat" HAHAA

Too funny! I love the way that heels look, but don't love the way they feel on my feet. Your feet and legs will be thanking you for the sneakers. :)

Totally LOL! I wore heels to a wedding, while carrying my 3 year old a few weeks before my marathon. I wasn't sure my ankles were going to recover in time.

I would have gotten the door for you. But then again I am not blonde and I am not a hottie.

Very funny. I totally relate all my pants are hemmed for heels, I have one pair I can wear flats with. I love the heels, but they do kill your legs when training.

HA! Great story. I thought about not wearing heels, but I refuse to wear flats since it makes me look stumpy and not cute, and I'm vain enough to just deal with the pain. :o)

LMAO!!!!! You crack me up. I recently gave up my "maternity" shoes for fun shoes. Ummm, I think I will go back to them until after racing season is done because I have the same problem with my feet and calves.

You should find a cute pair of flats to go with your skirts.
